Large-scale Moscow's Attacks Cut Power Throughout Ukraine's Capital

Energy infrastructure under attack in Ukraine
Ukraine's energy systems have faced escalating strikes in the past few days

Overnight, Moscow's aerial assaults have caused electricity outages in large parts of Ukraine's capital, the Ukrainian capital.

A number of civilians were wounded while local people in the city's east were experienced blackouts and faced disruption to water systems, according to city officials.

At the same time, a young boy was lost their life in a different assault in the southeastern region in the country's south-east, based on information from regional authorities.

Moscow has intensified strikes on power infrastructure over the last fortnight, while Ukrainian leadership has demanded "substantial measures" from allies to exert influence on Russia.

"What's needed is not superficial actions but firm measures - from the America, European nations and the G7 - in providing air defence systems and implementing penalties," mentioned in a online statement.

Officials stated that hundreds of unmanned aircraft and several dozen projectiles targeted Ukraine's energy infrastructure, characterizing such strikes as "strategic and deliberate" and against "critical infrastructure" as winter approaches.

Government representatives said Moscow was "inflicting a massive strike" and technical staff were striving to repair systems.

A wave of strikes damaged energy infrastructure and residential structures in Kyiv.

Several of the people injured in the strikes on the capital have been taken to hospital, per statements from city authorities.

Regional authorities said the metropolitan region endured intense attacks throughout the evening. A minor died and several individuals were wounded.

The attacks follow nights of bombing campaigns in the region, parts of which are currently controlled by invading troops.

All of Ukraine is on alert for advanced weapon attacks, which are tougher to detect.

National leaders told journalists that Russia was purposely seeking to destroy the electrical infrastructure, with attacks already impacting gas facilities.

He said energy workers and officials were preparing for further attacks.
